So, $8.50 for a sandwich in a grocery store seems a tad steep to me. That is until I ordered the goat cheese/veggie sandwich there a month or so back. It was way too much food and really hard to get in my mouth (that’s what she said, I know). This last time I went for the tomato and mozzarella sandwich. It’s a fave of mine from Tastings so I figured it was a safe bet. This is what I ended up with.
I don’t think you can get a sandwich there that isn’t enormous. The pic doesn’t nearly do it justice. Overall it was good but the execution was somewhat sloppy. At Tastings, they use a flat bread and the innards are a bit more evened out. At Publix, they used 2 huge slices of tomato and 2 huge slices of mozzarella. It was just too much. However, worth the $8.50.
Sunday was spent at Lake Eola. Saw a dead body (sorta). Had some drinks. Sandwiches at Dexter’s. Beers at Burton’s.

I was trying to keep it cool while I took this. A lady passed out in the park with a bottle of 'script meds next to her. They had to call the paramedics.

There were so many dogs at Burton's! I like this guy the best.

We started off the day at the Best Western pool. Added some cocktails from the Red Fox Lounge, wings at Spatz and a wind down at Eric Pitman’s.
